Why integrate your Twitter account?
- Once connected, we will sync Direct Messages from your Twitter account to your Gist inbox, keeping all of your customer communication in one place.
- You can collaborate and respond along with your teams on all incoming Twitter Direct Messages directly from your Gist Inbox.
Note: Only Direct Messages sent to your Twitter account will be synced with your Gist Inbox. Tweets and replies won't be synced.

Also, here are the step-by-step instructions to guide you through the setup:
Step 1: Connect Gist to Twitter
- Navigate to Settings > General > API & Integrations > Integrations
- Scroll down to Twitter and click the Connect button.
Step 2: Log in to your Twitter account
Clicking “Connect” will open up a pop-up asking you to sign in.
Enter the Username and Password of the Twitter account you wish to connect to.
Step 3: Grant Gist permission to access your Twitter account
To make sure Gist and Twitter integration work correctly, click the Authorize app button.
Step 4: You did it!
Click Ok and you're all set!
You can now begin receiving and responding to your Twitter Direct Messages from your Gist team inbox.You can quickly see if that message was originally sent from Twitter by checking the ‘Sent via’ information below your message. The Twitter icon indicates the message is from Twitter.
Limitations of the integration
Conversations that took place before connecting your Twitter account with Gist Inbox will not be imported to Gist.
